I
'm Jim Harrington, owner of Saugus Photos Online. I've been converting 35MM slides to digital for several years and established a large base of satisfied clients. Customers include teachers, doctors, dentists, orthodontists, etc.
Many of these types of customers want a ready-to-go Powerpoint file. Along with their custom presentation, they also receive the stand-alone digital photo files on CD-R or DVD-R.
If your project involves copying mounted 35 MM slide film for use in Powerpoint, you've found the right service. Very fast turn-around times and a dedication to customer satisfaction keeps my customers coming back.
Visit my established 35MM Slides to PowerPoint service page where you'll find extensive information about my slides to digital services.
If you've got questions about the slides to PowerPoint process, call me, Jim Harrington 24/7. (If you call at an odd hour, you'll get my voice-mail but I will return your call.
If you want your PowerPoint presentation to display images in the same sequence as the projector based show, you'll want to scan the slides in sequence. When a specific display sequence is required, I ask customers to number each slide, on the mount.
Once slides are in PowerPoint form and copied to your hard drive, they can be shuffled on the computer to display in any order, as long as you have a working version of Power Point on your computer.
More information on converting slides to PowerPoint will be added soon.
If a PowerPoint file is too big, it can slow down an under-powered computer. For this reason it's best when image files are optimized for PowerPoint.
When you've got hundreds of slide images to import into PowerPoint, applying more than min compression and downsizing the jpg files may be needed. Otherwise the PowerPoint files can exceed several hundred MB....to be continued.
